AssureSign, a market leader in electronic signature innovation, today announced it will begin utilizing short codes—short digit sequences—later in 2019 for its popular eSign via Text feature. AssureSign is the only electronic signature firm that offers eSigning via text message natively in its platform. Switching from traditional 10-digit number sending to short codes yields greater security protocols and seamless compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), along with other Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations.

In addition to regulating the National Do Not Call Registry, TCPA provides regulatory oversight concerning telemarketing calls, auto-dialed calls, prerecorded calls, text messages and unsolicited faxes. The FCC extends provisions within TCPA and other regulations to curtail unwanted communications, otherwise known as spam messaging. AssureSign’s alignment with all FCC requirements helps businesses avoid fines that can range from $500 to $1,500 per recipient and message.

“People are accustomed to leveraging text messages to communicate, it’s the fastest way to get a response,” said David Brinkman, President and CEO of AssureSign. “More than 55 percent of people do not have mobile access to their email. Our eSign via Text feature empowers clients to maintain communication with those consumers while completing document lifecycles in record time.”

When AssureSign clients utilize unique short codes, their customers and recipients know that messages have originated from a verified business or brand. Additionally, the short code service allows clients utilizing the eSign via Text feature to send documents for signature via text message without risk of having messages blocked by cell phone carriers.

To receive approval for short code use, AssureSign was required to submit requested documentation to the Common Short Code Administration and solicit approval from the FCC. AssureSign received clearance from both the Administration and the FCC and began provisioning its short code appropriation in early 2019. The company plans to roll out the service to customers later this year.

Today, AssureSign, a market leader in electronic signature innovation, announced unprecedented gains in its market share, revenue, and workforce in 2018.

The company reported increasing its year-over-year top-line revenue by more than 50 percent and nearly doubled its customer base. To serve its record-breaking increase in customers, AssureSign expanded its workforce, while recruiting and hiring additional talent for its marketing, B2B sales, client support, operations, and development teams.

“Our rapid growth is a direct result of a strong leadership team, strategic product roadmap, and our customer feedback,” said David Brinkman, President and CEO of AssureSign. “Over the past year, we’ve invested heavily into our solution, with an end goal of customer experience and product innovation.”

Throughout the year, AssureSign released multiple product and feature enhancements, enabling users to keep pace with their evolving digital transaction needs.

Prior to being named a “Market Leader” in Q4 2018, AssureSign:

  • deployed its first EU data center, supporting the company’s regional growth;
  • integrated payment processing into its platform;
  • enhanced its responsive design (mobile experience); and
  • developed additional functions in its document setup, field editor, and signer attachment support.

In addition to large gains in its customer base, AssureSign expanded its partner portfolio with key industry players such as: Hitachi SolutionsComputer Solutions East, and Naranga, among others. Select portfolio partners joined key customers at AssureSign’s inaugural Customer Advisory Panel hosted in Atlanta earlier this year. The company designed the Panel as a platform for innovation exchange and customer feedback, which it plans to leverage during future product developments.

By offering the electronic signature industry’s most flexible API, AssureSign has also built an extensive partner program with a proven revenue stream. Founded in 2000, AssureSign has executed over 400 million electronic signatures for many of the world’s most well-known brands.

Last week, AssureSign, the leading vendor in electronic signature innovation, invited executives from MagTek, Captorra, Auric Energy, and other premiere AssureSignConnect partners to discuss new and upcoming innovations FY 2019.

AssureSign leadership discussed the company’s evolving roadmap while inviting its select customers to provide input on its innovative cornerstones.

“As we execute a rigorously innovative roadmap, there’s never been a better time to establish an annual forum for collaboration and feedback with our highly valued customers and partners,” said David Brinkman, President and CEO of AssureSign. “I look forward to working with our leadership team to implement the strategies discussed at AssureSign’s Customer Advisory Panel.”

AssureSign’s CAP witnessed the first external unveiling of AssureSign’s V3 RESTful API implementation roadmap. Many of the panelists currently have an integrative product offering powered by AssureSign and can use the roadmap to plan its own competitive product upgrades.

“[The panel] provided an excellent opportunity for me to learn more about the AssureSign roadmap and future solution enhancements,” said Rodney Vesling, Vice President and General Manager of MagTek, Inc. “I’m excited to collaborate on integrating [MagTek] payments with eSignature.”

The forum also allowed stakeholders to be formally introduced to AssureSign’s Simple Setup, the vendor’s intuitive drag-and-drop user interface, and its progress since its 2017 inception. AssureSign’s CAP received an exclusive preview of several upcoming Simple Setup features the eSignature vendor has in store, including the capacity to bulk send envelopes, customize Simple Setup workflows, ePayment offerings, conditional logic, and more.

“We were extremely happy to learn about the options AssureSign offers Dynamics CRM and SharePoint [users], which are significantly better than options offered by other document signing providers,” said Richard Bishop, IT System Administrator for Auric Energy. “AssureSign’s feature set saves our sales team valuable time every day…”

In addition to API and product upgrades, AssureSign highlighted enhanced security offerings rolled out in recent months. The Simple Setup single sign on (SSO) mainframe allows users to securely access the entire AssureSign environment with one username and password. Another recent enhancement, automated SMS opt in/out election requests, yield automatic compliance with SMS sending regulations.

According to two consecutive annual reports by Aragon Research, AssureSign is among the leaders of innovation in the electronic signature market. After being named a Microsoft Gold PartnerTop 40 Innovative Company, and Southeastern Software Association Impact Award Finalist, AssureSign rounded 2018 off by securing its position as “Market Leader” by leading customer reference platform, FeaturedCustomers.

The eSign vendor aspires to build on its momentum by convening the panel quarterly for virtual discussions as it begins developing plans for another CAP conference in 2020.

Today, AssureSign, a premier electronic signature solution built for Microsoft Dynamics 365, announced receiving Microsoft Partner Network’s (MPN) highest distinction, a Microsoft Gold Partner.

The eSignature vendor secured Gold Partner status after completing several rigorous customer service, Azure data volume, employee knowledge and expertise, and Microsoft-focused competencies.

Independent software vendors (ISV) achieving Microsoft Gold status are considered to have a high level of expertise in delivering quality solutions to specialized areas of business. Less than five percent of the tech giant’s Partner Network has achieved Gold status to date.

“I’m thrilled to work for a company that can proudly identify as a Microsoft Gold Partner,” said Michelle Cloninger, Director of Growth and Strategic Partnerships at AssureSign. “It’s the hallmark of an enterprise’s sincerest devotion to their customers and the innovation that makes them successful. I’ve never been more confident in guaranteeing our capacity to meet the needs of prospective partners and clients!”

Microsoft, the global leader in technological development, began its partner program in 1992 to enable ISVs to build solutions that take advantage of the company’s emerging advancements. Microsoft equips its partners with the resources necessary to fully leverage its proprietary technology, allowing vendors to build and maintain competitive solutions that best meet consumer demand.

MPN membership and stature also highlight digital solution vendors hosting compelling innovation within their industry and a commitment to providing elite compatibility with Microsoft-based platforms.

AssureSign has provided electronic signature solutions and integrations for many document management systems, including Dynamics 365, for nearly 20 years. In recent years, the company’s solution has garnered much attention and recognition from Microsoft, including
