The Electronic Signature and Records Association (ESRA) sent select representatives and executive board members to D.C. yesterday to educate lawmakers about electronic signature and advocate for wider adoption. AssureSign President and CEO and ESRA executive board member David Brinkman was among those in attendance, along with representatives from Adobe, Buckley Sandler LLP, DocuSign, Equifax, Fidelity National and iPipeline.
The visit is a part of an ongoing effort by ESRA executive board members to advocate the use of electronic signatures and records and to promote wider adoption among public entities, government agencies and businesses.
“As electronic signature capabilities have become fundamental across industries, our group is playing a key role in educating lawmakers and business leaders on both the legality and efficiency of e-signatures,” said David Brinkman, President & CEO of AssureSign. “Electronic signatures expedite workflows, saving organizations precious time and money – we’re here in D.C. to share that message with lawmakers.”
Thus far, the delegation has had meetings with the staffers of nine lawmakers and with Congressman Louie Gohmert of Texas. The group continues their meetings through tomorrow afternoon.
